Suspicion of paraneoplastic syndrome and ambiguous forms of neuropathy.

Method

Immunoblot.

Answer

Serum: The result is reported as negative, borderline or positive with a value (blot intensity).

CSF: The result is reported as negative or positive

Interpretation

Antibodies against Titin can be detected in patients with myasthenia gravis and is associated with thymoma.
