Wieslab introduces new important markers in neurology

March 20, 2013 - Company News, Product News, Disease Area News
Neurology is a field where the interest in novel assays for accurate diagnosis is constantly increasing. This focus area for Wieslab is expanding rapidly with a number of new auto-antibodies and protein markers described in different publications.

Wieslab has in recent years been in dialogue with several neurologists to understand which auto-antibodies and protein markers that are important in the  neurology area. Based on the latest advice Wieslab now launches a number of new test packages with a total of 11 new auto-antibodies and protein markers.

We have also developed a dedicated "Neurology Testing Quick Guide" in collaboration with Albert Hietala and Rayomand Press, which will hopefully be an important tool for choosing the right analysis to diagnostic suspicion. Wieslab has also started a collaboration with the Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Mölndal for analyzing brain injury markers.

Wieslab continuously works on providing a high level of service and supports the use of relevant markers for diagnostics.  Consequently, some of our tests packages have been updated and analysis that are no longer relevant have been discontinued. Remember that you can always find the latest updated request form on our website.

Sign up for the "Lunch and Learn program" to be updated on new neurology markers

The Wieslab "lunch and learn" program will continue in 2013 and the focus will in addition to a general overview of Neuroimmunology also be an introduction to the new markers. If you are interested we will be happy to visit your clinic in 2013. Please send an email to diagnostic.services@wieslab.com with your contact information and suggestions on appropriate dates when we can come and visit you. If desired we offer lunch.
